According to Eureka Springs Municipal Code, proposed work on any historic resource and all properties within a historic district must undergo review. The City Historic Preservation Officer and the Historic District Commission work together to review projects based on their compliance with design guidelines, preservation standards, and city code. Depending on the location, projects may also be reviewed by the Planning Commission.
