April 18, 2024 Historic Tax Credit Workshop

Unveiling the Secrets to Historic Property Investment: Join Us for a Free Tax Credit Workshop in Eureka Springs!

EUREKA SPRINGS, ARKANSAS - April 8, 2024 - Main Street Eureka Springs and the Eureka Springs Historic District Commission are pleased to announce a free Historic Preservation Tax Credit workshop for current and potential property owners. The workshop will take place on April 18, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at 125 Spring Street, the Main Street Eureka Springs space.

Led by Historic Preservation Consultant Amber Jones, this workshop aims to provide valuable insights into the Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit, National Register Listings, and Façade Easements. With over a decade of experience, Jones has been instrumental in preparing Federal and State tax credit documents, facilitating the sale of the Arkansas Tax Credit for property owners, and completing more than 400 projects statewide. Her expertise has resulted in property owners receiving over $20 million in Federal and State Tax Credits, with approximately $14 million in State Credits funded to cash.

“Nothing gives me greater pleasure than helping owners get a financial return on the maintenance and improvement of their historic home or historic commercial building,” says Amber Jones. “It’s gratifying when we can bring a building back to life or simply maintain the structure with Historic Tax Credits, which encourage solar and other sustainable practices to reduce energy consumption while preserving the characteristics that make historic properties significant, effectively keeping these historic properties in service.”

This workshop offers a unique opportunity for property owners to gain valuable insights and guidance on leveraging historic preservation tax credits to maintain and enhance their properties. Whether it’s restoring a historic home or preserving a commercial building’s character, attendees will learn how these tax credits can make a significant difference.

For more information about the workshop, please get in touch with Main Street Eureka Springs at jackiewolven@mainstreeteurekasprings.org or Kyle Palmer, Historic District Commission director at kyle.palmer@eurekaspringsar.gov.
